Cinema Nouvea, based at the V&A Waterfront, has had a face lift, and we were lucky enough to be invited to see its brand-spanking new look before the public!
Over the last few month Ster Kinekor and their suppliers have renovated the entire space, the cinema foyer downstairs hs a refreshed, clean and modern style, upstairs – the mezzanine level – has been changed into the Nouveau Café which is aimed to be the social hub of the complex. Here customers can enjoy great food and drinks before and after their movie.
Boasting a beautiful new foyer area and a new catering concept, the Nouveau Cafe, which will offer a variety of delicious food and drinks – including coffee, cakes, organic chocolates and a cheese platter – the menu will be expanding over the next few months to include alcoholic beverages such as red and white wines and craft beers. The food menu will also expand with sandwiches, salads and burgers to be added, too. There is also a extensive sweet menu on offer, which includes walnut truffle cake, New York cheesecakes or a four-layer carrot cake, as well as a selection of imported chocolates.
Says Wanda Matandela, CEO of Ster-Kinekor Theatres: “We are constantly innovating different ways to elevate the cinema experience for our audiences across all our sites. Cinema Nouveau at V&A Waterfront attracts a loyal audience of art-house movie lovers, who enjoy the finer things in life. As such, it was time to give the complex itself a facelift!”
Thank you so much for having us, we really enjoyed the preview of both Cinema Nouveau’s new look and Rock the Kasbah.
