Get fruity with Lindt Fruit Sensation

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to attend a brand new product launch at Lindt’s chocolate studio situated in the Silo District at the V & A Waterfront.

It’s been a long time since Lindt introduced a brand new product to the market and, as a chocolate lover, you can only imagine how excited I was to be able to attend this moment.

The last big reveal Lindt made was five years ago when they launched their Lindt Hello range, a range that made chocolate ‘sexy’ again. So you can only imagine that this new reveal was a big deal – I mean, how were they going to top Lindt Hello?

On arrival to the event, every guest was given a fruity welcome. Think fruity drinks, fresh fruit, fruity desserts and so much more. This could only mean that fruit was included in this new product, and, being a fan of chocolate x fruit chocolate in general, I was interested to hear more.

Lindt Fruit Sensation

Introducing Lindt Fruit Sensation: snack-sized treats with juicy and flavour-filled fruit jellies enrobed in dark chocolate – flippen yum.

Lindt’s brand-new product not only tastes delicious, but it’s a healthier chocolate-orientated snack that includes scrumptious fruity flavours.

We were lucky enough to spend the morning hearing all about @lindtsa’s new product at the launch at their #chocolate studio located at the Silo district, @vandawaterfront. 🍊 The brand new product is called #lindtfruitsensation and there are three flavours to choose from: orange and pink grapefruit, blueberry and açaí, and raspberry and cranberry. Yum! 🍊 #southafrica is the second country outside of #europe where this delicious new product has launched, and they can be found exclusively in @woolworths_sa stores in a couple of weeks! 🍊 You can find out more on #theboldesttype tomorrow where I will talk about all the different flavours, why Lindt chose to create this product, and go into more detail overall! So keep your eyes peeled. 🍊 Thank you so much for having us today, Lindt! It’s always a pleasure. 🍊 #lindtsa #lindt #chocolate #milkchocolate #darkchocolate #fruit #orange #grapefruit #pinkgrapefruit #raspberry #cranberry #blueberry #acai #superfood #superfruit #health #healthy #wellness #sablogger #chocoholic #sweettooth #sweet

These dark chocolate nuggets taste like heaven, and are the perfect snacking option when you feel like reaching for something naughty (and usually packed with sugar).

The nibbles have a soft fruity centre – a puree made with real fruit and fruit juice – and are covered in a generous layer of Lindt’s dark chocolate.

This range is the first bite-sized adventure for the brand and, after an incredibly successful launch in selected European markets, South Africa is one of the first countries to introduce the range. This is due to the increasing local demand for premium chocolate.

Available in three flavours, there is an option for every palate (because not everyone likes the same thing):

  • Raspberry & Cranberry – expect intense notes of raspberry married with acidic notes of cranberry.
  • Blueberry & Acai – acai is an exotic berry that belongs to the superfood squad. Combined with the sweetness of blubbery, this pairing is a match made in heaven.
  • Orange & Grapefruit – for citrus lovers (this one made me think of my mum, as she is obsessed with anything orange in flavour and will love this one), this is the perfect pairing of bitter and sweet.

The Lindt Fruit Sensation range is available exclusively at Woolworths and Lindt Chocolate Boutiques from 23 April.

A 150g resealable bag will retail for a recommended selling price of R64.95.

My absolute favourite would have to be the Blueberry and Acai!
I have been excited about the launch of Fruit Sensations since I got wind of it – cannot wait for it to expand and be sold in all stores.
