Each month I am going to compile and share a list of my top five (maybe more if I cannot choose!) favourite beauty products, decor items and fashion items that really caught my eye and feature them altogether in a Wish List.
1. Essence Blush Ball, Essence, R57.95
Easy to apply and small enough to put in your handbag for a much-needed top-up on a night out, the Blush Ball from Essence is a must-have for every make-up lover. Simply apply it directly to your cheeks, blend with your finger, and voila! You’re ready.
2. Lancome Juicy Shaker Lip Gloss, Woolworths, R270
Shake it up with Lancome’s range of Juicy Shaker Lip Glosses, turning your boring lip colour into something a little more personal and magical! My favourite thing about this range of lip gloss is the fact that there is no sticky business – and by that I mean you don’t feel as if you have an oil slick on your lips after you apply it. Instead your lips will be left feeling nourished and natural – perfect!
3. Chubby in the Nude™ Foundation Stick, Clinique, R395
Chubby make-up sticks are the best, aren’t they? And nude chubbys are even better! Wit-woo. Lancome’s new range of Chubby in the Nude Foundation Sticks are not just for little touch-ups (although they are perfect for those too), but for full-face coverage! I was worried that these babies would be a little thick and oily, but they couldn’t be further from either of those things, blending with ease and giving my skin a natural long-lasting finish that lasted all day!
4. Shimmering Skin Perfector (in Champagne Pop), Becca Cosmetics, R650
I don’t know how I only came across this amazing product recently! Words fail me when it comes to this shimmering wonder. Seriously, I want this beauty product more than I can tell you. Although it’s quite pricey, this creamy, luminizing highlight powder is a must-have for all make-up lovers and it will literally last forever (as even the using smallest amount goes very far, making you glow all day and all night). There are limited quantities of this gorgeous blush available in SA, and it is only available to order via email – so get yours quick!
5. Vitamin E Products, The Body Shop, R80 – R180
I don’t know about you, but during the winter months my skin gets increasingly dry and irritated, so when I saw that The Body Shop have a new Vitamin E range that covers everything from your skin to your lips, I was elated! I cannot get through a day without my lip balm, so I cannot wait to try this new one from the Body Shop containing Vitamin E and Vanilla. The second product I cannot wait to try is the Vitamin E Refreshing Eyes Cube, as I have very tired looking eyes (with anything but designer bags to boot) that I feel will benefit greatly from this product. The third product from this range that I will be investing in is the Vitamin E Moisture Serum, that is aimed to boost your skin’s moisture levels – want and need!
1. Leaf Printed Curtains, HM, R399
I. Need. These! These gorgeous leaf printed curtains would be the perfect addition to any room, brightening up the space with their gorgeous colours and trendy print.
2. Rune Small Hurricane Candle, Woolworths, R249
One can never have enough candles, am I right? And I think that these beauties would look gorgeous in my bathroom. Made out of hand-cut faceted glass, they are available in three sizes (small, medium and large) and in two colours (black and white). My favourite things about them, however, is the fact that each and every one of them is different because they are made by hand. making each of them one-of-a-kind.
3. Eden Rug Haze, @Home, R2 199
Earthy colours are so in right now, and I cannot stop thinking about how wonderful this beautiful rug would look in my living room. It’s all the warmth a room would need in the upcoming winter months!
4. Earth Lodge Wall Hook with Box Drawers, Mrp Home, R299.99
I don’t know about you, but I am forever loosing my keys, making this cute little statement piece a must-have for my home. Not only do I love the beautiful prints featured on the drawers, but there is enough storage not only for my keys, but for other important bits and bobs as well as a cute shelf to display a trinket or two!
5. Wire Pendant, Mrp Home, R459.99
I – like many people out there – am a sucker for anything and everything rose gold, and it is a trend that is only getting more popular by the month. Meaning that this hanging, modern-looking and industrial styled wire pendant would be a striking piece ideal for a stylish kitchen. It’s available in gold, black and rose gold.
1. Kimiki Felt Fedora, Poetry Stores, R299
I have never been a hat person, to be honest, but while browsing through the Poetry Store’s new range of fashion items this gorgeous felt fedora caught my eye – so much so that I had to go to the store and try it on! Totes in love.
2. Belted Lace Up Boots, Woolworths, R599
Winter is here, guys. I really dislike this time of year as I am not a cold weather lover. However, one positive point that comes with the chilly weather is the fact that I get to buy myself a pair of nice boots – like these babies! *Adds to online shopping basket*.
3. Leaf Shaped Hair Clip, HM, R79
Do you have thick hair? I do. Meaning that hair clips don’t usually work for me. But I couldn’t resist adding this gold stunner to my wish list because it really stood out. It would look gorgeous sitting in an up-do with a LBD, don’t you think?
4. Faux Fur Chubby, Mr Price, R349.99
I. Love. (Fake). Fur. Coats. But I just couldn’t find one that suited me. Until now! I found this beauty in Mr Price at the V&A Waterfront the other day and I just couldn’t resist. The black and white colouring means that it will literally go with anything and everything I wear, as well as keep me super warm when the wind gets up.
5. Ladies Colourblock Shirt Dress, Mr Price, R199.99 – R129.95
Last but not least on my fashion wish list is this fancy colour block shirt dress. It’s ideal for both dressing up to go out for a spot of dinner with my babe, as well as doubling as the perfect work outfit for the office with a nice thick pair of tights and boots. Need!
