Not-so-perks of being married to a girl

Last week I talked about the perks of being married to a woman, and I only thought it would be fitting to talk about the not-so-perks of dating/living with/being married to a woman, too, to give you guys the full picture. Are you ready for a few more laughs?

Processing – there’s a lot of feelings, a lot of the time

Wow, if you thought being able to talk about your feelings was a pro, it is, to an extent. Sometimes when there are a lot of feelings going on all the time, the constant processing can be a little draining.

This is not to say that I would stop all of the processing because I wouldn’t. All I am saying is that it can be quite overwhelming sometimes which means we have to take a ‘time out’ occasionally.

Nagging x2

Ha. I am a huge nag – even though there is not much to nag about when it comes to Jeanne as she is generally quite amazing.

However, I tend to nag anyway. It’s a bad, bad habit that I am trying to change.

Jeanne, on the other hand, has a lot to nag about, including me leaving shit everywhere and, well, not listening very well.

Hormones x2

So, Jeanne has the implant, meaning there are not many hormones on her end. However, there are days sometimes when we clash and have a little bit of a tiff.

On my end, though, well I have enough hormones for the both of us, making that time of the month super interesting.

Twice the fun, as they say.

Hair, hair everywhere

Jeanne has short hair now, however, I remember a time when we both had long hair and fok, there was always hair everywhere.

In the bed, on the couch, in the plughole in the shower and sink, and all over the floor. Now there’s just my mid-length hair to contend with, but Jeanne will argue that my hair is certainly enough to deal with.

Girl fights

There is nothing deeper and more to the point than fighting with another woman. We know what each other are thinking, we know what each other’s next move will be and there is absolutely no bullshit.

On the other hand, when we make up, we make up good. Meaning there’s a lot of cuddling, understanding, talking and loving.

So there you have it, the not-so-perks of living with/dating/being married to a woman. Please be aware that this is just a bit of fun and my opinions.

Each and every relationship is different, regardless of who you are dating, so not every lesbian, bisexual, gay (etc) relationship is the same – and I am not trying to put anyone in a box and we are not about that offended life.

Stay tuned for the not-so-perks of living with/dating/being married to a woman. Why? Because sometimes it’s nice to have a laugh.

My husband has long hair, so I totally get what you mean there 🙂 Interesting post. I’m a nag too – I admit this in secret only.
